REBELS is how the return gets paid for. It is the engine, not the point — the collection is the point. Trading it funds the buying, and holding it is how the Rebels reach you.
The token
Not launched
There is no REBELS contract yet. When it launches, the mint address will appear here and be announced from the project's own accounts at the same time. Any token calling itself REBELS before then is not ours — and after launch, check the address here against the announcement before you buy anything.
The terms below are settled and will not change at launch. They are published now so they can be read before there is anything to buy.
Total supply
1,000,000,000
Fixed. No mint authority after launch.
Team allocation
None
No insider allocation and no vesting. Zero tokens held by Night Labs.
Creator fees
65% acquisition / 35% holders
Every claimed fee splits between buying Rebels back and paying holders who lock. Gas and bridging are funded separately by the Council.
Trading fee
2%
Opens at 5% to deter snipers and decays to 2% over the first hour.
Acquired Rebels
60 / 25 / 15
Of every Rebel reclaimed: 60% distributed to stakers, 25% burned, 15% held in the vault. The split is fixed in code, not in copy.
Liquidity
Permanently locked
All migrated LP is locked forever and cannot be withdrawn. Locked positions still earn fees for the treasury.
Metadata
Immutable
Name, symbol and image cannot be changed after launch.
Two supplies tighten at once. Every Rebel bought is one fewer on the open market, and 25% of those are destroyed outright. Meanwhile locking REBELS pays 35% of every fee in SOL and puts you in the draw for 60% of the Rebels, which takes coin supply off the market too.
The loop is real but it is not free money. It only turns while there is trading volume, and it stops when there is none. Nothing here creates value on its own; it moves fees from traders to holders and to the collection.
You cannot lock yet — the contract is not deployed, no fee share has been paid and no draw has been held. The terms above are what will run when it ships: a minimum 30-day lock, 35% of fees paid pro-rata, and a monthly drand-seeded raffle for the Rebels. Terms that are not deployed are a plan, not a promise. Do not buy REBELS expecting either payout today.
Locking is custodial: locked REBELS sits in a Council multi-signature wallet, not in a program. Locking is trusting the Council to give it back at maturity — no on-chain mechanism forces that return. Full detail, including the escrow addresses and where that check runs out, is on /rewards.
Trading starts at a higher fee that decays over the first hour to deter snipers, then settles at 2%. That is high for a general-purpose token. It is set there because the fee has a stated, verifiable destination: it buys the collection. If that stops being true, the fee is not justified.
Fee income depends on trading volume, and volume decays. Acquisition capacity is front-loaded: the weeks around launch will likely produce most of the lifetime fee take. This is not a perpetual buyback and nothing here should be read as one.
Success also slows the mechanism. Visible reclamation raises the floor, which makes each remaining Rebel more expensive to buy — the programme gets harder exactly when it is working.
The plausible failure case is specific: the curve graduates, volume dies within a month, the treasury holds a few dozen Rebels and a small SOL balance, and the bar stops moving. A slow bar is the expected shape, not evidence of something going wrong.
Listings are also scarce — the collection has traded in single-digit volumes for months. The treasury will often hold unspent funds rather than overpay, and that balance is published rather than hidden.
REBELS is a funding mechanism for an art project. It is not an investment and it may lose all of its value. It gives you no ownership of the vault, no governance right and no entitlement to any specific Rebel.
What it is meant to do is get you a Rebel: locking REBELS is the intended route to receiving one, and a Rebel is a thing of real value delivered through the efforts of a team. In some jurisdictions that description matters legally. The Council took this decision knowing it, and says so here rather than leaving it implied.
